Across Western Europe and the United States, multicultural talent in GIS and STEM is underused and quick to leave. In the Netherlands, women are 38% of the STEM workforce yet only 20% in GIS, and more than 50% exit within ten years. Ethnic minorities make up about 11% of STEM roles and still face stalled progression. In the United States, women hold 34% of STEM jobs and 27% in GIS, while Black and Hispanic professionals hold 9% of STEM roles and 7% in GIS. Half of underrepresented groups leave within five years. The cost is lost innovation, longer hiring cycles, and rising turnover.

Our Competence Driven Diversity project turns that pattern into progress. Competence & Retention in Multicultural Workforces

We put Competence first (skills and talent, not just representation), ensuring that hiring, promotion, and retention strategies prioritize expertise and the qualities that drive real results.

We emphasize Multicultural strength (valuing employees who can thrive in global, cross-cultural contexts), helping organizations build teams that perform across diverse markets and environments.

Finally, we focus on Retention and development (long-term organizational success) by analyzing workplace conditions and career pathways that keep top talent engaged and growing.

How We Work

1. Assess Needs and Objectives
We begin with an in-depth consultation to understand your organizational goals, recruitment
challenges, and workforce development priorities.


2. Data Collection & Analysis
We design and execute a tailored research plan that may include surveys, interviews,
demographic analysis, and policy reviews. Both quantitative metrics (e.g., retention rates,
workforce composition) and qualitative insights (e.g., employee interviews, leadership
perspectives) are combined for a full picture.


3. Competence & Cultural Evaluation
Our evaluation looks at the skills and behaviors that create high-performing multicultural teams:
cross-cultural communication, bias recognition, inclusive leadership, and equitable decision-making.

We provide a clear report with data visualizations, benchmarks, and narratives that highlight
